Spoons Rules
Spoon Rules 2025
o Format: All players will pay £1 to play in a spoon.
The spoons will be balloted pairs, triples or fours.
If a triples team has only 2 players, both teams will play 8 bowls and the skip of the team with 3 players will play 2 bowls.
The team with 2 players will forfeit 25% of the shots they score. If a fours team only has 3 players, player 1 and player 2 will each play 3 bowls, the skip will play 2 bowls and the team will forfeit 25% of the shots they score.

Separate Prize Pots: Each spoon will have a separate prize pot to be paid out.
o
Prize Money: Money collected for the spoons will be saved and paid out in a Grand Spoon during the last week of spoons in the season.
o
No Other Prizes: No other prizes will be given.
o
Points System:
o
Members of the winning team will receive 3 points for a win.
o
Runners-up will get 2 points.
o
Everyone else playing will get 1 point.
o
Figures will be updated weekly on the noticeboard and Facebook page.
o Grand Spoon Week:
o
The winning team in each Spoon during Grand Spoon Week will receive 50% of the prize pot for each day.
o
The winning player (most points) during Grand Spoon Week will receive 50% of the prize pot for each day.
o
The winning player with the most points overall during Grand Spoon Week will receive the Trish & Ken Fraser Cup.
o
Participation Requirement:
To qualify for the Grand Spoon prize pot, 65% participation within the total number of spoons played in the season will be required.
o
Player Positions: Players will play the position selected unless a player is uncomfortable playing the position selected.
